Been feeling down so I'm taking action to focus on the HAPPY things that happen during the day - Write down the date, the happy event and slip it in the jar! I can't wait to read them all NEXT YEAR!

Breakfast has been happening for lots of meals around here. B came down with a BAD virus and it's not much fun for me to just cook for myself.. so hey! Breakfast it is and you won't hear me complain. #breakfastforevermeal Egg white omelette, protein french toast and venison peppered bacon. Adding vanilla Shakeology to your french toast mix is amazing...just saying...

One of my favorite podcasts and one of my favorite topics...Brain Health. Something near and dear to my heart. Nutrition is something that impacts so much. NOT just for weight loss, muscle gains, etc - it goes MUCH deeper than that! Nutrition truly can hurt you or heal you. 

There are so many diets out there coorelating to overall health... for heart health, gut health, brain healthy, diets to help people with arthritis and joint pain, cancer, lose weight (fight against obsesity) ...and so many more. But what is the CONSTANT in all of these lifestyles...FIGHTING INFLAMMATION.

Inflammation is the basis of all of these diseases: obesity, cancer, arthritis, asthma, alzheimers, diabetes, heart disease, crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, IBS - (the list goes on)

So what causes inflammation? SO MANY FOODS. Sugar and grains are HUGE in causing inflammation. Dr. David Perlmutter who is featured in this episode has a few books out there on brain health and how going gluten free is healthier for your brain.
