Since I've been married for a whole FIVE days - In looking back at our wedding day I wanted to share a few things to future brides - and maybe OTHER ladies will have something to chime in too.

This past weekend I worked a 12 hour shift on a weekend versus my usual on call status and spent most of the shift on the floors. I have worked in the recovery room (aka the PACU) for the last five years so it has been a while since I have been on the inpatient side of things. Before coming to the PACU I worked in the cardiac ICU...and spending all day on the floors around bedside nurses, their patients and seeing the interactions ... gave me some thoughts and inspiration to reflect and share. If I had the opportunity to write a letter to my patients - current or the past ... what would I say?
maybe a little bit but aren't we all??? I have been asked so many times how we have planned our wedding in such a short engagement period. Most people are engaged for a year - when we got engaged in May I couldn't imagine waiting over a year for a wedding! We have been together over eight years...I couldn't wait to be able to call B my husband... and with hunting season coming up in September we chose the only date that in the month that didn't involve another friends' wedding OR impede on bird/bow hunting season... September 15th, 2018 - We got engaged May 11th - so we had about 4 months to plan! Bring it on.
Let me clarify - To me that means Chewy, doughy, soft, chocolatey, buttery, salty awesomeness. Its crazy how much baking truly is an art and takes practice and experimentation to get the "results" that you are looking for. Plenty of flour, sugar, butter and love have went into (and spritzed around) my kitchen lately as I'm determined to create my own favorite recipe!
Because funks happen. You fall off the wagon. You feel unlike yourself and in a rut. You maybe feel anxious. You let yourself go... WHATEVER it is. You CAN get started again!
It is CRAZY the market of health and fitness that targets brides to be ... I've seen titles like "shredding for the wedding" - or "getting fit for the dress" - or people even talking about getting in the "best shape of their life" for their wedding... or buff arms for their wedding .. .etc -
so where do I stand on it all? and what am I working on as I prep for the big day? Thought it was time to share!
The whirlwind of the last two weeks continues but we are loving every minute! How is it JUNE already??? The past week has been full of adventures and it's time for a blog update!
