Look out Nashville - we have arrived! Had such an AMAZING time navigating around Nashville last weekend for Beachbody's national Summit! Summit is a time for us coaches to get together and celebrate being coaches, educate ourselves how to help others reach their goals, surround ourselves with empowering and inspirational people, and most of all..have FUN!
Let's just say it was a definite success of accomplishing all of these things! - thought it was about time I did a bit of a photo dump/recap of our Nashville adventure. Ps. I'm already booked for next year... so you know it was good! :)
Summer is such an awesome time of year - so many events such as parties, lake time, fun with friends - and for many lots of travel! Don't let all of this FUN ruin your health goals! As I'm traveling to Nashville next week I want to share with you my plan for staying accountable while on the road!
Don't get me wrong.... I LOVE my job and being a nurse. But I am YET to meet a recovery nurse that enjoys a weekend of call. (actually ANY staff member that enjoys it) It can be a LOOONNGGG grueling weekend of carrying an annoying non-stop beeping machine that you hold on to in anticipation and NEVER knowing when it will go off. - unless you are trying to do something productive.. (that part never fails) Starting laundry? - It will go off. Going to make a quick run to the store? It will go off. It seriously never fails!
Staying up all night, countless hours on your feet, and lots of back and forth make it easy to fall off track with your nutrition and workouts. It is just all the more tempting to grab a candy bar, crap food in the break room and just lay around when you actually get a break - I'm here to tell you that there ARE ways to hold your own with your goals during these long weekends! Here are a few of the things that have worked for me!
You just got to go for it! At least that is what I hear ... right? So hear goes nothing - I finally started my own website! It's been on my heart for a while and I finally decided just go for it!
What's my plan for this you ask? To share my love of health and fitness and help YOU along the way! I want this site to be packed FULL of clean eats and sweet treats (both my favorite), fitness adventures, tips to help you lead a healthier lifestyle but most of all I want to empower YOU to be brave enough to take the steps toward your own dreams and goals.
It has been quite the adventure putting this site together. As in any journey starting at square one can be intimidating and overwhelming. Note to self: Rome was not built in a day. By working on something a bit at a time and learning one small thing every day and applying it the task at hand becomes much easier to conquer.
