this past week since most other weeks has been a busy one! But all good things!
Weekly update, engagement pics, focus on what matters
After a wedding weekend out of town (Brendan was a groomsman) - Sunday was spent as a day of rest - that evening though we ventured out to the mall to drop off Brendan's tux from the wedding he was in...and we swung through the jewelry store to look at wedding bands! EEK! We ended up ordering them and Brendan's already came in! I seriously am in LOVE with how beautiful they both are...Is it September yet?
Monday night is puppy school for Hank! This week we worked on walking loosely on a leash and we have been working REALLY hard to stop him from jumping when he gets so excited. When new people come (especially guys) he jumps ALL OVER them - and we don't want him to be doing that! I THINK this week has been better....we tell him off, divert his attention when he does it, don't give him attention when he does it and we give him something he knows how to do when he starts jumping (like telling him to sit.) I THINK this week has been better? But time will tells...it definitely takes patience and consistency!
Tuesday I went and got my hair done! It feels SO MUCH BETTER. I love having it so fresh! This time we went darker and pulled it all the way down to the ends - I love it because it is natural and you can still see some of the lighter pieces pulling through! I have an appointment the week of the wedding to get it colored again and we will practice wedding hair! Any suggestions? Up or down?
This week's meals have been quick and super simple. This doesn't LOOK as good as it tasted... ha! I stir fried some chicken and some shrimp together. Then I threw some steak fries into the air fryer for a side dish. Super simple! Just pairing a protein and a carb - Brendan had a side salad too for his veggie. My stomach has really had its ups and downs this week and veggies have been causing me a TON of pain - so unfortunately it's been really hard to get them in! A lot of days the only veggies I get is from the nutrients in my Shakeology supplement! But I'm trying really hard to LISTEN to my body and not FORCE things that do not sit well.
Seasoned chicken on the grill and potatoes again! Are you seeing a trend?
I did quite a bit of baking this week! Chocolate chip cookie bars and then yesterday I also made some peanut butter monster cookies. Brendan's dad is here this weekend and always requests cookies! Well...we definitely are stocked!
Thursday night was engagement pics! We went down to the hunting/farm land to take them - because it is GORGEOUS down there - and I'm so happy with how it went! We even got Hank in on some - Go follow Two Birds Photography if you don't already - she is so super talented. She posted some sneak peeks and I CAN'T WAIT to see them all!
This past week we have put a payment on the caterer so that is all situated.
We got our wedding bands ordered.
Engagement pictures done.
I've ordered some gifts for the wedding party and the parents.
Mapped out a tentative itinerary.
And found an invitation design I love - just have to add the pictures, get them ordered so we can send them out asap!
a teaser from the shoot...
Apparently picture taking is tiring for a puppy!
