deep thoughts today about my why.
The Purpose Behind Fit with Heart
Has anyone ever asked you...
What is your why?
What do you do what you do... what keeps you going? WHY you got started and more importantly where do you want it to go.
I've been thinking a lot about why I started this blog...why I even started doing some health coaching....and where do I want it all to lead?
Why I started this blog. I've always had something to say. (Ask my parents ha!) and since college aka like 10 years ago now practically I have been obsessed with reading the blogs of others. I had a list of favorites and literally checked in on their page every day to read what they were up to, what recipes they posted or what inspiring thought I could read that day. Finally I got thinking why in the world not create my own blog? My own place to share my own adventures and journey. I was super hesitant at first...and to be honest I kind of felt like a fraud. Like a wanna-be. I have no blog experience..I just read them...How am I supposed to learn how to make my own? Google has been my bestie.
I took messy action. Lately that has been my life mantra. Just start. Stop waiting for "perfection" and the perfect moment because lady it just does not happen. There will always be something getting in the way of that. Life never slows down. Sorry not sorry. Ok. off my soap box for now :)
Why did I become a fitness and health coach? - well to be honest I was looking for something more. I was currently using the beachbody workouts and products and the opportunity arose to become a "coach" for them. This means receiving a discount, promoting their products by sharing your own story and I loved the people I had met through using all of this and thought I literally had NOTHING to lose...especially when I had the chance to earn extra income. So i dove in. I still am a coach for beachbody and love their fitness programs, I stand by their products, I love my fellow coaches and the people that have LITERALLY HAD THEIR LIFE CHANGED by it all - I do not regret at ALL finally saying yes to doing it.
But along with doing that I truly believe there is more out there for me. I'm not leaving what I've been doing to the way side at all - but I want to continue life's adventure through other means also. I'm more than a workout program. I'm more than a nutrition product. I'm me. And that is EVER evolving.
So where do I see this all going? This has me thinking about a type of mission statement for myself, this blog and this business - because I'm treating this like my business baby and I can't wait to see it grow and develop.
I am someone that will always be real with you and share my honest thoughts...whether its about ANYTHING health related, relationship related, product related or really...try me... anything.
I see this becoming a safe haven for people to head to ..somewhere where it's honest and vulnerable as well as educational but in a not boring way.
I want it to be a place of encouragement..but not all unicorns and rainbows.
I want to share recipes and meal plans that I actually eat, are enjoyable, suited for families, not restricting or in any type of diet mindset -
I want to share SIMPLE tips about how you can improve your life each day - even in the little things.
I want to continue to build my self confidence and help other women feel empowered through taking CARE of themselves.
I want to show you all the baking I do ... because it fulfills me. And would even enjoy starting a baking business and take orders.
I want to share with you all that I am learning about gut and brain health and why I care so much.
So there it is. My vision down on paper (well digitally I guess.)
Which one of those things resonated the most with you?
What is something you have in your vision for YOUR life?
What is YOUR why?
