Off we go! The Platinum Edge Conference time down in Dallas at the beautiful Gaylord Texan - put on each year by Christine Dwyer - Christine has been a Beachbody coach for fifteen years and is an amazing entrepreneur, business leader, trainer and puts on this conference to bring in other speakers other to help others along in their business as well. Last year I loved it - got to see Chalene Johnson also last year - and she is one of my FAVORITES. (seriously you need to subscribe to her podcast if you haven't already!) Anyway - thought it might be fun to show you my journey of my weekend here in Texas! From travel time, working on my coaching biz behind the scenes, spending time with with my fellow misFIT coaches, conferences and don't forget the wine bar and amazing margaritas!
The Platinum Edge - Day 1
Up bright and early and a HUGE shout out to my amazing man for bringing me to the airport! (Sorry for the toilet in the background) - made it through security and on the plane by 7! Flight to Dallas was direct (hallelulah!) Our flight even went faster than planned....yay!
Got to the hotel and when checking in I arrived the same time as my friend HeatherLeigh! who just so happened to talk me into a workout - so we did it! Got to my room to get settled in a bit and then met her, Molly and Sharalyn in the hotel fitness center - i hit up the treadmill for a bit before they got there and then we did Iso Strength Chisel - per laptop - no dvd's needed. Beachbody on demand is an online library of workouts that you can access from anywhere - there are seriously a TON on there as a baseline and any beachbody workouts you purchase get added to your library too! - so convenient -

Post gym I grabbed some food and headed back to my hotel room! Fueled up with some coffee and got to WORK! Working because I WANT to and ENJOY it is the best! So what does my work consist of? Checking in on my current health bet challengers, connecting with new people, creating on the blog, answering message and working on posts for my Fall Challenge group in October - all based on total health! Daily workouts, Doily smoothies and Daily posts all about nutrition, fitness, food prep, motivation, inspiration and don't forget the FALL focus. PUMPKIN recipes, crock pot recipes - all helping you to fall in love with you. Emotional health is a big part of these challenge groups too - because you have to love yourself NOW. You won't be happy "when to achieve x goal" or "when you hit x weight" ... It's way too easy for us to make excuses like "I don't have time." "I'm too busy" but really...when is that going to change? There is ALWAYS going to be something...and if you don't start taking care of yourself now...when will you?
Then it was time to meet up with some of the misFIT REPublic for some wine! There is a place at the Gaylord called the Old Hickory Wine Bar - Andrea introduced me to a red called Meiomi Pinot Noir and holy moley..smoothe and delish...
I was pooped after day 1! Apparently traveling makes me tired! Even though it was a short flight - I had a glass of wine. then headed back to the room to shower! The hotel had a main water break due to a construction whoopsie (someone must have been in deep ISH) so the water was off most of the afternoon...so yeah I was ready for that!! Some of the girls went down to the steak house for supper after!
Coming in to this conference I'm so ready to feel refreshed. The power of a live event is more than anything than i've ever experienced..and last year I left feeling so good, inspired and confident in my goals. I'm more than ready for that again!
