Decided to venture out and get some food things today..and had one of those days where I chased my tail a bit. Kinda ran a few different places...in a very unorganized manner! Oh well! Thought I would share a few of my finds and what I'm going to do with them!
Random Grocery Finds
Kevita! I'm loving this stuff - my favorite is the hibiscus berry but I also got the coconut pineapple to try this time too! I'm on antibiotics so I want to make sure I have some extra probiotics in my system. My daily shakeology has probiotics in it, but like I said I'm making sure I have extra in me this week! I'll let you know what I think of the pineapple coconut flavor!
Zucchini! Thinking some zoodles or some sauteed zucchini is in order soon!
Onions...we go through a lot. They are B's favorite to add to everything!
Daiya Cheese - non dairy and it melts like regular mozzarella.
Beets! Ever tried them? I have never made them! So if anyone has any ideas for me..i'm open to it!
- Broccoli Steamer bags - keeping it simple!
-Bolthouse farms ranch is my favorite ... creamy with greek yogurt for added goodness. I'm sensitive to dairy but in small amounts this ranch doesn't seem to bother me!
- Buffalo sauce! because I love ALL THINGS SPICY and buffalo ranch chicken pitas are amazeballs.
- Pure pumpkin! Always a staple in my cabinet! Gotta have it for Shakeology waffles or pancakes :)
Protein bars! I know they aren't the best ingredients, but they come through for me when I need something hold me over! My absolute favorite are the combat crunch cinnamon twist bars...I will let you know how the cake bites are and the cookies and cream one is!
- greens: cabbage and butter lettuce. I already have kale on hand. I'm really loving chopped salads lately!
- ham for sandwiches
- shredded cheese for B
- cilantro - because it's delish!
- asparagus was on a major sale...score right? I love it steamed with either butter or coconut oil!
I got this huge package of chicken breasts for eight bucks! I love when I find these things on sale and often buy extra to freeze. Lucky for me we already have a freezer full of fresh fish, venison and other game!
Currently setting up some recipe posts for my new challenge group that is starting this week! I'll get more specific in the group as to meal ideas with these ingredients! Apply here to get in on the group!
